For the past several years, Glennallen Ahtna volunteers and employees have volunteered their time to help at the Sourdough checkpoint for the “toughest 300 miles in dog racing,” the Copper Basin 300. This year a special thanks goes out to Ahtna volunteers Starr Knighten, Dusty Knighten, Sarah Daszkiewicz, Heidi Lingenfelter, Albert Craig, Josette Johns, Joe Bovee, Bruce Cain and volunteers from the Glennallen Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service.
